Facebook celebrating its 7th birthday today. According to facebook’s Wikipedia info page, Facebook was launched exactly seven years ago, on February 4, 2004. Back then it was called “Thefacebook,” and it was originally located at thefacebook.com, but it’s definitely the same project. The largest social networking website in the world was co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg, Chris Hughes, Dustin Moskovitz, and Eduardo Saverin on February 4th, 2004. The original idea was to connect Harvard students, but seeing that their network is on a high role, the guys took the best possible decision and decided to expand the site and make it available for the whole world.
A cool founder, Intelligent design, a lot of smart business decisions and gradual expansion made Facebook what it is today: by far, the biggest social network on the Internet.
With more than 600 Million Users all over the world, facebook is the uniqe king of internet now. It passed the search giant, Google as America’s most-visited website in 2010, according to a new report from Experian Hitwise.
